c/n 044 painted yellow and blue, both owned by Dubar Bostwick c/n 044 also has the 3 holes in the side for the (optional 3-1¼'' Kilgore signal flares)

c/n 517, built 04/60 as model H-395, original registry N4164D Dunbar Bostwick  VT(2nd of 2) used same color scheme as c/n 044 installed optional 3-1¼'' Kilgore signal flares accident hard landing not reported or investigated @ Sandston VA unknown time repair with new tailcone placed on lower crash-cage/fuselage longerons stabilator and vertical stabilizer Federal 3500 skis accident not reported or investigated @ unknown place and time, '73 repaired left & right removed crosswind gear placed on Landes 3600 wheel installed Rayjay/Riley turbochargers accident hard landing not reported or investigated @ unknown place '78, repaired rear section tail cone and tail wheel bracket sold '92, Larry Montgomery (Larmont Aviation dealer) SC sold '93, Grover Haeben III & Harrison Haynes GA sold '95, Layne Crowe & Wynd Counts AK installed 1400 series style instrument panel & individual seats, stabilator leading edge erosion boots & 3800 lb up-gross install Edo 3430 floats incident very seriously damaged in windstorm flipped upside down in water @ Lake Hood Anchorage, AK 9/12, registration expired, now cancelled
                                                                                                                                                                                       
Anyone know current status of this A/C is it being restored or is it being parted out?



almost forgot the picture below of my Helio with 517 behind it I thought it was a 1200 also, for a long time, when the twin moved I took his tiedown spot

That is a picture taken at Merrill Field anchorage Alaska some time around '99 or 2000 looking south down Helio row as most people called it, my Helio at the time is in the background. The row was a series of taxi through tie down spots that cost a little more and they had electricity available which allowed you easily preheat in winter.

I took the liberty of opening your picture as #3 in the queue above did a little editing to the history paragraph also.

Anyone know current status of this A/C is it being restored or is it being parted, out it has been 7 years since the incident?
