Doug Johnson 1:
This is an interesting photo there is nothing in the Air America records that indicate c/n 546 was flown as “867” for an undetermined period of time after China and Laos broke off diplomatic relations in mid-1962

This should be added to the history file above also only photo of an Air America Helio with large digits on rear of tail cone.

Doug Johnson 1:
A little better Picture of c/n 546 as N4191D posted a top of queue above. this is probably while with Air Asia before being sold to Air America. A similar picture shows 546 with c/n 545 as N4190D shortly after arriving in Thailand in '63 opened above

Added a photo of c/n 549 as XW-PGM and opened in the queue above

I recieved some new information on c/n 549 that it was Sold to New Tribes Mission R/PI then parted out, most of the parts sold to Benny Meyers AK He also now owns the Data plate

I will edit the History paragraph above

Doug Johnson:
Just for the record here is a photo of the data plate in Bennys possession

I will open it above

Doug Johnson:
Picture of c/n 546 as XW-PGM while in storage photo caption says Wattay which agrees with History paragraph  of Vientiane, dates the photograph '72-'73.

Took another look kind of interesting it appears that they used black plastic and strapping tape.
It doesn't really look like Duc tape. The Duc tape I remember using on everything was olive drab.

Opened photo above as #5 in queue
