Engine quits at idle

I flew my H295 to Alaska and I had the engine quit when I pulled the throttle to idle.  I have Garmin EIS and temps look normal. The plane normally lives at 2100' MSL and all adjustments have been performed at that altitude. Here in Seldovia, AK I am at 10' MSL. I sure do like the performance at sea level!

Any ideas why the engine is dying?

It sounds like your engine might be experiencing a problem related to the mixture adjustment. When you fly from a higher altitude (2100' MSL) to a significantly lower altitude (10' MSL), the air density increases. This change affects how much fuel is needed for proper combustion.
