On March 9, 2023, Jim Danish from Danish Aviation in Fraser Lake, BC Canada passed away. Jim was one of a kind, took care of 70 plus seaplanes per year during his optimum time of operation. I lived only a 45 minute flight away with my Found FBA-2C seaplane. Jim maintained 3 different Founds for me beginning in 1980. He stored a shed full of Found parts, put me up in his apartment many times, and always offered advice on lifes many twists and turns. He remembered all of my aviation mishaps and was quick to say what I should have done different. Jim loved the Helio design and would be happy to know I now own an H-800 on floats.
Rest in Peace Jim.

He was quite a guy. Met him at OSH in 2004.

Jim Danish was a super guy.  Never got to meet him in person but always a pleasure to speak with on the phone.

Jim was an easy guy to talk with.  I took my Helio there to get worked on a few time and he would put me up at his place. I wish I could have spent more time with him as he was a wealth of knowledge when it came to Helio's. He took a lot of phone calls to the point that he and I would go out after supper to work on the Helio. I was able to get a picture of him thru his office door one day,  He will be missed,  Len
