I recently searched for my n number and found that Flightqware and others showed my plane made a flight that was 600miles south of anywhere I have been in the past several years. Not sore what to do, if anything

In my opinion its like ID theft you can't ignore it. But the thing to remember is that the FAA and the cops aren't your friends.

Get some legal advice before doing anything.

I do know the person that did this appears to me to be in violation of 49 U.S. Code § 46306 which calls for about a three year (maximum) visit to the big house, unless it was an accidental violation then they lighten up.

Whatever you don't go to the cops or the FAA and try to explain things and ask what to do without lawyer backup.

I recently had to post a 10% cash only of a $65 K bond for my Nephew who did exactly that. I did find that, then they keep 10% of the bail money, when they return your bail money. so much for being compassionate. No good deed gets unpunished.

Yes feds are not friends. Learned that when one MLG failed to extend on an Aerostar. Probably a ADSB programming mistake. Easier to bring it up now than after the other pilot violates some regulation.
