would someone ID this helicopter. I found this photo with some other c/n 506 photos but the Helicopter in an Air America report on c/n 706 says it was recovered using an Army Chinook helicopter this Helicopter is army green but even I know what a Chinook helicopter looks like.  The other 3 Vietnam Helios, c/n 612, c/n 1245 and c/n 1274 were recovered  by Helicopter sling lift using an HH-3E green giant helicopter. I don't think the Helio in the picture here is an HH-3E either.

c/n 1245 below click on https://flyhelio.com/smf/index.php?topic=971.msg4184#msg4184

well you guys were no help but I finally figured out that it is a Sikorsky UH-34D 'Air america' H-35, after march '67 became 'Royal Lao'  “5769”.

I had convinced myself it was an Army Helio and was probably Helio c/n 506 but now I'm not sure since the air lift with the Helio was also 3/67 the same month it was transferred to the Lao Air Force, but I will leave the photo under Helio c/n 506 until I find something different.

Can Byron Miller, or Larry Teufel tell me if this photo I found is H-6 their H-800 wreck. IF not, which wreck did they have?

I would like to positively identify it before I post the picture under H-6.

I am curious about something I see only three seats in the photo. Around the same time as this accident in '97 I bought an H-800 seat from a wreck exactly the same color as those in the photo that had been left at a pilots wife's home somewhere in WA or OR, I never quite understood what was going on there. I guess the question I am asking. Was there a seat missing from this wreck?

Edit turns out to be H-14

Doug, this was mine when it came back from iceland.  After a crash.

At first i did recognize the plane, but it could be any 800, then i saw the poster of a satellite view of Montreal.  It was taken before Google Earth by a friend of mine that went into space.

The poster is still on the wall...

Thank you Louis,
I will post it tomorrow. I was kind of disappointed that i hadn't found a photo of the wrecked H-6ut now I have 3 more of H-14.

Larry Teufel sent me a picture of H-6's wings a few years ago but I've never found a picture of H-6's  fuselage.
