I wonder if the electrical circuit is the same as a 800   ( 295? )  There is a fault in the conception.  If you stuck the co-pilot trim switch, up or down, the results will be that the trim would always go node down when you try the pilot trim switch.  Up or down, the trim will go down.

You can check on the electrical diagram that comes with a STEC auto pilot.  This where i found the only mechanical paperwork on the 800.

I found this picture of N9991F c/n 004, under a skydiver forum it caught my interest because the retractable landing Lt in the wing is quite obvious, it is located in the same area as the retractable landing Lts on both wings that were put on the H-800 c/n H-5 under direction of Clarence Brent. I checked on another stallion and apparently they were installed on both sides, it is a larger diameter Lt and located further outboard than the single Lt installed on the H-391. My H-295 had a quick remove round cover plate in that same area and it was part of my pre-flight inspection as taught by Larry Montgomery to remove and check that wear on the aileron attach bolt was normal and the cotter key was in the bolt.

I think if I had known about this previous installation on the H-391 I might have tried to install them on my H-295, and now that LED replacement bulbs are available I know I would if I wasn't able to get a field approval on the wing tips I wanted to install. I made some foam plugs for a mold to put a modified Hoerner wing tip fairing on with non-retractable Landing lts behind a clear Plexiglas fairing.

Dual retractable landing Lts have been installed on c/n 028, c/n 509, c/n H-5 and H-15 now the Hellacious Helio.
