c/n 2, N10039 was originally an incomplete H-500 twin c/n 9 built early '64 possibly also N10039, It was converted 05/64 to c/n 2 registry N10039 prototype HS-550 then converted 10/64 to HST-600 c/n 1 N10039 (reg reused), by Air Research Phoenix AZ, they provided cowling and engine 600 shp continuous Garrett TPE331-24 and Hartzell HC-B4TN-5/10176C 103.5 inch 4-blade propeller, after many failures of Garrett engine converted back to HS-550 rereg as N10039 and c/n 2(reused)

N10039 HST no.1 HST-600 Stallion, converted back 6/28/65 to HS-550 c/n 2 with 550 hp Pratt Whitney PT-6 eng, and was also used to develop the type certificate for the Stallion and for munitions testong sold in '70, Dunbar & Albert Bostwick NY in '72 dereg dismantled and placed in storage until sold '77, Royal Aviation (Randy Gillum M.D.) TX reregisters in '77 as N10039 (HST-550 no 2)sold '77, Rik Luytjes buys material lot from Royal Aviation inc which includes a dismantled HS-550 N10039, '82 ownership transfer to Air America (Rik Luytjes) PA sold '83, Jim Perry WA sold '87, Stallion Aircraft inc (?) IL sold '89, Taylor Energy (Patrick Taylor) LA '92 reg changed to N994PT (previously used on Stallion c/n 007) (parts including cowling from c/n 006 wreck used to restore prototype no. 2), incident damaged by saltwater immersion during Hurricane Katrina @ near New Orleans Covington LA '05, dbr rereg N70850 sold as scrap to be used for display purposes only Last Plane Out llc (David Grantham) LA sold '06, to Airborne Leasing llc LA donated '07, to Tech school Baton Rouge LA


anyone know which tech school and current status of A/C   
 
As always any further information or pictures would be greatly appreciated.


the N registry on first picture appears to be N10038 but all informartion I can find says it is N10039 even Steven Ruby says N10038 was never used to test the Garrett engine.
