Picture of c/n 601 (63-13096) with original camouflage paint before release from storage to Jaars.

Museum appears to have repainted 601 in a new camo scheme for display as well as getting tail number wrong.

Anyone have a picture before it was painted in camo for S/Vietnam service or as N87743 while with Jaars?

Can anyone identify what appears to be a parachute badge on the tail?

open it as #2 in the photo queue above.

It's a Tactical Air Command badge.

Steve found 4 photo for me this what he says, "Just like buses! You wait an age for one to come along, and four turn up together."

He also says "This photo of c/n 601 is while with the 317thSOS 1stSOW U-10B 63-16096 'AO', dated 21May72. Note that it wears a sand/brown camouflage scheme and has a green, tail fin cap. The latter was perhaps to differentiate between 317th and 319th squadron aircraft. It was input to MASDC 10Jul73 and allocated Production Control Number (PCN) HJ028, before being stricken from the USAF inventory as excess, 25Nov74. It was then transferred to the local office (DPDO) of the Defense Property Disposal Service (DPDS) for disposal. It departed storage 28Feb75."

I posted it as #1 in the queue above not sure whether it should be 1st or 2nd.

I will post the others over the next three days.
