Who made the bladders for the 700-800 helios??  I am trying to find out which velcro they used to attach the bladders and use in my 391 since i have the wings apart.

There's only a few bladder manufacturers have you tried contacting them directly. My last resort was always to call Jim Metzler or Jim Danish.

Wrights air service in Fairbanks may give some help too.

If I remember correctly there's a couple stc's for bladders.

I searched quite a lot to find that Velcro without success.  I have them on my tank, and when i wanted new ones, the bladder manufacturer could not find them.  So i removed the old dot from the old tank to put it on the new.

The irony is that about ten years ago, i had a full box of them.  Around 5000 of them.  I had used them about twenty years ago to make bycycle bags fasteners.  After a while, cleaning the place, they went for the garbage.  When my mechanic showed me them saying he had problem to find them, i was able to find two or three that i had in my drawer, but that's all.

They are Hermaphrodite.  They have no sex.  Mushroom head molding of delrin that snaps together.  No male or female, the same on two side.  With a hole in the center for the rivet.  You can find pretty close similar ones, called Dual Lock, but it is not the same.

If you find some, i am very interested to buy a hundred or so.

A few years ago I wanted a special fastener. I did a search on the web and found a custom manufacturer. It was merely a different size they would make them for me but there was a set up fee and a minimum order I think it was 10,000 since I only needed a hundred max I wound up going a different route.

you might do a search for a fabricator.
