Prop Nut Removal Tool
« on: November 23, 2019, 10:48:14 PM »
Hi,
Does anyone have the dimensions or a drawing for the Hartzell Hub Nut removal tool -- BST-2910?

It's to remove the A-63 propeller nut on the 20 spline shafts of the G0-435 and G0-480 Lycoming engines.

I don't know if this any help but the parts book under special tools gives p/n 67D46011-10 and it looks like the e-bay picture

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the reply. YES! that's what I need but I don't want to pay $600+ when I have the machine shop equipment to easily make it. I'll measure it off of my prop and can make it that way but I thought if someone had the drawing I could make it to spec like it was meant to be.

Best regards,

I made one using a 3/4" drive socket from a cheap set of chinese ones. They are much softer to machine and then you can use a torque wrench on them easily. I'll look in shop later and see if I can find it for a picture.  Paul

Thanks Paul,

I would love to see a picture and which socket size you used.
