EAA 2017 for Helio
« on: January 28, 2017, 12:07:00 PM »
Greetings to all Helio enthusiasts.

I have secured a spot in the Vintage Aircraft area for any Helio drivers wanting to attend, I'm looking for 5-6 airplanes. I have been in contact with EAA and Vintage and I am re-starting the Helio Type Club.

I need you to respond as soon as time permits to solidify a specific area for all Helio airplanes built from 1954 and up

Dates for Airventure 2017 are July 24-30, 2017

Would love to me there with mine.  But distance and work will prevent it.  Some day I will have my plane at EAA.

Thanks for putting this together, its good to know there will be a collection of Helio fans and planes there.

Stephen-  I intend to make every effort to bring H-22 (N400HE) to Oshkosh this year.   It is the Allison powered H800 (very last Helio?) which flew for 7 years for Pima County (Tucson) Sherrifs' Department.  It is now on amphibs.  Would enjoy it if we can include it in  your lineup.   Keep us posted/  Cheers/ Bob Wallace

I now have the Type Club for Helio in place and I am just finishing up an article for STOL Aircraft Magazine

Bring those Helio's and yes, you can park H-800/700 airplanes in the Vintage area..This has been confirmed

920-203-2079 is my cell

All for now

Hi Stephen-  Any update on the Helios to Vintage Aircraft for EAA Oshkosh 2017?  Still intending to bring N400HE (H22).  What reservations do any of us need to make individually with EAA?  Book tickets, etc?  Cheers/ Bob Wallace

I have the Vintage area assigned for all Helio attendees, this was confirmed Saturday at the ski-plane Fly-In and there was no snow anywhere, it was 60 degrees on Saturday, and my 83 Dodge Ramcharger was the big hit out there.

Cheers,

Hey Steve,

What do we need to know for parking in the Vintage area with the rest of the Helios at OSH?  Planning on being there with N6463V.
