c/n 1431, built 05/70 as model H-295, original registry N6478V Oakland Meat co CA installed Rayjay/Riley Turbochargers sold '74, Roy Woods CA sold '77, North West Drilling co (Ronald Hasz) KS sold '86, Ronald Hasz CO sold '96, John Schwamn AK sold '97, G. M. Hemminger AK sold '97, Bob Bursiel Fairbanks, AK (8th of 13) install 3,800lb up-gross wheel skis installed Bendix fuel injection same as c/n 1454 accident the pilot was on a flight in a ski-equipped airplane while he was packing snow at the landing site by laying down tracks with the airplaneā€™s skis in preparation for landing during the last pass, he said that as the airplane lifted off the snow, the wings encountered high brush; when he pulled back on the elevator control to clear the brush, he said that he believed that the tail ski contacted the snow and dragged the airplane down into the brush the fuselage and empenage sustained structural damage during the encounter with brush and terrain there were no known mechanical problems with the airplane prior to the event @ Healy AK 3/09 repaired, rereg Bursiel Equip (Bob Bursiel) Fairbanks, AK

I happened to notice that apparently during the last repair the paint scheme was changed slightly on N6478V

Found another older picture in the snow so edited the history file and opened the picture above
